M. Kurtz M.ED., LSP, LMHC
Mr. Kurtz is a Licensed School Psychologist and Licensed
Mental Health Counselor, with over 30 years of experience. He has
worked with adults, children and their families in all areas of testing
and counseling. Mr. Kurtz specializes in Learning Disability diagnosis
and remediation, as well as Gifted and other ability/academic testing.
For 15 years, Mr. Kurtz was a School Psychologist in the Orange County
Florida Public School System serving the needs of students in preschool
through 12th grade. He has earned the distinction of receiving
the "Educator of the Year" award from the Learning Disability Association
of Florida (formerly known as the "Florida Association of Children and
Adults with Learning Disabilities").
As a Psychotherapist and Mental Health Counselor
Mr. Kurtz integrates a "whole person" approach as he helps his clients
move beyond issues that are preventing them from leading healthy and productive
lives. As Mr. Kurtz works with people in need of assistance due to
behavioral/esteem issues related to Learning Disabilities or helps others
overcome the effects of childhood abuse, traumatic issues, phobias, addictions
and other life affecting issues, his therapeutic
techniques and philosophies afford his clients the opportunity
to see positive, life lasting change, often within a few sessions.
Mr. Kurtz has presented a wide assortment of workshops,
seminars and trainings. He is a public speaker who enjoys sharing
his expertise and knowledge.
